Waymon Underwood Scholarship


Please consider applying for The Waymon Underwood Public History Scholarship, provided by The Greater Dayton Chapter of ARMA. This scholarship, in the amount of $500, is offered specifically to students in the WSU Public History Program.


The award may be used in any fashion to support the student’s pursuit of their degree or future employment, whether for tuition, books, to assist with travel/ expenses for interviews or internships, etc.  Submit your letter of interest by March 2, 2012



Applicants will be considered based on the following criteria listed in order of importance:


Interest and Experience – Student who has indicated and/or demonstrated an interest in a career in records management or archives (possibly already working/volunteering in field).


Scholarship – Academic standing from graduate work (especially within Public History Program) or undergraduate studies.


Letter of application – Content and quality (not more than two pages)


Financial need
