Program: Case Study: Implementing an Email Management Program

Speaker: James Zimmerlin serves as the Records & Information Manager for CareSource, a non-profit Managed Care Company headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. He holds a bachelor’s in History and a master’s in Public Administration from Wright State University, as well as a master’s in Library & Information Science from Kent State University. Prior to joining CareSource, he served as the Records Manager & Archivist for Warren County, Ohio. He also is currently certified by the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) as a Certified Records Manager (CRM) and as a Certified Archivist (CA) by the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA).

Program Description: With email generally constituting the largest number of information objects an organization has to manage, cleaning up email repositories is an important step in an overarching records management strategy. This presentation will address lessons learned in implementing an email management program, as well as challenges associated with organizational change and user behavior.
